Policy Financing Inc. ("Polfin", "we", "us") provides insurance premium financing. Our office is at 65-19 Myrtle Ave, Glendale, NY 11385. This policy explains how we handle information collected through this website and in the course of providing our services.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote or send a message, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, company, email address, phone number, line of coverage, premium amount and the content of your message.

Information for financing. When a premium is financed, we receive information from the insured and the insurance agent that is needed to open and service the account, such as business and contact details, policy information and payment information.

Information collected automatically. Our web server records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of each request. We use this data to keep the site secure and working properly. We also record how visitors use the site: the type of device, the pages viewed, the links and buttons clicked, and whether a visit came from our Facebook or LinkedIn pages or another website. We look up the approximate country from the IP address. We use this information to understand which content is useful and to improve our website and marketing, and we keep it for up to 13 months. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not record this usage information.

How we use information

We use information to respond to requests, prepare quotes, open and service financed accounts, process payments, communicate with insureds, agents and insurance companies, prevent fraud and misuse, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and improve our website and services.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information.

We share information only as needed to run our business: with the insurance agent or broker, MGA and insurance company involved in a financed policy; with service providers that support us, such as our account servicing platform, payment processors, email and website hosting providers; with affiliated companies under common ownership; and with regulators, courts or others when the law requires or permits it.

If you obtain financing from us for personal, family or household purposes, federal law gives you additional rights and requires us to provide a separate privacy notice that describes how we collect, share and protect your nonpublic personal information. That notice applies together with this policy.

Cookies and similar technology

This website uses essential cookies only: a session cookie that protects our forms from misuse, and cookies that remember your language and text size choices. We do not use advertising cookies. To connect the pages of a single visit, the site also keeps a short visit code and the website you came from in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.

Account portals and other websites

The agent, broker and borrower login pages are hosted on the PBS NetAccess platform. Information you enter there is handled under that platform's terms and our finance agreements. This website may also link to other sites, including our affiliated companies and social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting and regulatory requirements. Messages sent through our website forms are kept for our business records and deleted when they are no longer needed.

How we protect information

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted connections to this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices
